Who We Are
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower underprivileged kids through virtual education, providing them with essential knowledge in healthcare and medical sciences. We strive to spark curiosity and build foundational skills in basic biology, medical careers, and more.
By fostering access to quality education, we aim to inspire young minds to lead healthier lives and explore pathways to meaningful opportunities in the healthcare field!
Meet the Founders
Mini x Medics (Mini Medics) was founded in the winter of 2024 by Samantha Agle and Caitlyn Teo, two high school juniors with a shared passion for healthcare and STEM.
Growing up in Irvine, we were fortunate to have access to a multitude of STEM opportunities. Being able to attend specialized camps and school programs introduced us to the world of medical sciences and healthcare careers. As members of our high school's Medical Cohort, we gained invaluable resources, hands-on experiences, and in-depth classes that deepened our understanding of these fields. These opportunities not only fueled our interest in medicine but also shaped our academic and personal growth.
However, as we immersed ourselves in these experiences, we became increasingly aware that many students don’t have access to the same resources and opportunities that have shaped our educational journeys.
While we had the chance to explore healthcare from an early age, others were missing out on opportunities to learn about fundamental health topics, essential life skills, and the medical field’s many intriguing career paths.
Motivated to help expand access to these opportunities, we created Mini x Medics. Our objective is to provide underprivileged children with accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate education in health and medicine. By introducing young learners to topics like basic biology, first aid, sanitation, nutrition, and medical careers, we aim to inspire curiosity, equip them with practical knowledge, and empower them to envision a healthier, brighter future!

Samantha Agle, Co-Founder
Hello! My name is Sami Agle, and I'm a junior in high school with a deep passion for the medical field, particularly in the fascinating world of neuroscience. As part of my school’s Medical Cohort, I’m gaining hands-on experience and developing skills to help me pursue my dream of becoming a neurologist one day.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I am an active competitor in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). This platform allows me to challenge myself, deepen my medical knowledge, and connect with others who share my commitment to healthcare. The experience has sharpened my leadership abilities and fueled my drive to excel in medicine.
I’ve always been intrigued by the brain and its intricacies, and I’m excited to explore this interest further in my academic career. My goal is to allow students to explore and pursue their passions, regardless of their background, inspiring me to co-create Mini x Medics. I’m curious, driven, and eager to impact my community through Mini x Medics!
Caitlyn Teo, Co-Founder
Hi! My name is Caitlyn, and I am a junior in high school. I joined the Medical Cohort at my school to explore more about the medical field as a potential major for the future. Through this program, I have been introduced to a variety of medical careers, which sparked my interest in both neuroscience and pediatrics. These areas of study fascinate me, and I’m planning to further explore them in my future pursuits.
Besides the Medical Cohort, I have also participated in the Science Olympiad and completed mini internships, which have allowed me to delve further into the world of medicine and STEM. These experiences have allowed me to build a strong foundation in sciences and deepened my passion for medicine over time.
Volunteering at my local church allowed me to develop a love for working with children and a passion for their learning, which was ultimately one of the biggest inspirations for me in co-creating Mini x Medics. I am excited to share my knowledge and inspire children to explore the medical field!
